אַזְהָרָה

אַזְהָרָהf. (זהר) 1) forewarning, prohibition, esp. the explicit prohibition (‘thou shalt not) in the Bible, required for punishing trespassers. Y.Peah I, 16a top א׳ ללה״ר a biblical admonition against calumny. Num. R. s. 7 (play on zara Num. 11:20) והי׳ לכם לא׳ it shall be a warning to you.
